19th annual moot of PCS to start from 1st

ISLAMABAD—The three-day 19th annual conference of Pakistan Cardiac Society (PCS) would start from December 1st here in Jinnah convention centre. More than 400 heart specialties would participate in the conference.
The conference would be presided over by Prof. Dr. Shaharyar A Sheikh, President World Heart Federation while Dr. Anjumand Hashmi Consultant Cardiologist USA would be the chief guest on the occasion. During the three days conference, Doctors and Heart Specialties throughout the country would deliver their lectures and on Heart Attack, sugar, cholesterol control, Hypertension, Control of weighting, Importance of exercise, Precautionary measure after Heart attack, Women and problem of Heart, Heart failure, Cardiac C.T angiography, Angioplasty and Stunt, Harmful effect of smoking and Healthy diet. Round about 20 Heart specialties would provide free of cost information and advises regarding heart attack to people in the conference. Research paper of 100 young Heart Doctors would also be readout during the conference.
General Secretary of Pakistan Cardiac Society Dr. Naveed Akhtar while highlighting the role of society said that the mian objective of society is to control heart diseases and aware people of the country about problem of heart. Heart diseases are spreading rapidly around the world according to study of World Health Organization (WHO), he said. According to recent survey, the General Secretary of Pakistan Cardiac Society further said that 30 percent women and 26.9 percent men more than age of 40 in the country are suffering Heart diseases.—Online
