Staff Report

ISLAMABAD—The security arrangements and high standards of professionalism that the Capital Police maintained during the recent high profile visits of British Premier Tony Blair and Chinese President Mr. Hu Jintao, earned the Capital Cops an immense appreciation and commendation not only from their foreign counterparts, accompanying the above mentioned VVIPs but also from the dignitaries themselves.
The Security Division of Capital Police was assigned the task of ensuring foolproof and extra ordinary security and safety arrangements during the visits of British Premier and Chinese President. Security Division of Capital Police chalked out a comprehensive and state of the art security plan on both the occasions and ensured a comprehensive security blanket without any hassle and without causing any inconvenience to the general public.
It is learned that the British authorities were so impressed by the security arrangements that the British Government formally sent a letter of appreciation, praising the professionalism and high standards of Capital Police's security personnel. "We must say that standards maintained by Islamabad Police for the VVIPs security are even beyond that we exercise back home", commented a British Security Officer.
Nonetheless, the Chinese security officials as well as the high ranking officials of President Hu's delegation also highly praised the professional standards and security measures adopted by the Capital Cops. The Chinese security official, as a token of their appreciation, presented their Pakistani security counterparts a souvenir and memento.
