Pir Pagaro’s 78th birthday

MIRPURKHAS—The 78th birth anniversary of Pir Pagaro was celebrated with a spiritual sprit on Wednesday in Umerkot town. In a ceremony a 78- pound cake was cut. District Naib Nazim Umerkot, Kanwar Hamir Singh Sodho addressing the ceremony as chief guest congratulated Pir Pagaro on his 78th birthday and prayed for his long life. He said Pir Pagaro is a “school” of politics, from where many politicians have learnt the techniques of politics. He said there is a large number of leaders but the legend is one, that is Pir Pagaro. He is kind, generous, amiable, a tolerant person, the DNN further said. Hamir Singh Sodho said three basic points including Faith, Unity and Discipline on the basis of which Pakistan was established were amply found among the devotees of Pir Pagaro. Mir Ghulam Mustafa Talpur said Pir Pagaro has a multi-dimensional personality. His kindness and shelter strengthen us when we become tired or puzzled. Earlier, Ghulam Muhammad Maher welcomed the guests and said we are going to celebrate the anniversary of a person who himself and his family always offered sacrifices for defending the country and fought against the evil forces.—Online
