New package of SCO for AJK earthquake survivors

RAWALPINDI—Special Communication Organisation (SCO) has announced a special package for Azad Jammu and Kashmir earthquake affectees.
Sources said that all those subscribers whose telephone were closed due to non-payment of bills can draw advantage from this special announcement without paying restoration fee of Rs 5000 subscribers can get their telephones restored.
According to details, subscribers making the payment of their outstanding bills, the 10 percent of total bill cum Rs 500 as restoration fee will be waived off as a dividend.
This facilitation to subscribers will remain enforce till December 15. SCO has asked all earthquake affected subscribers to contact concerned officers of the organisation in order to take full advantage of this unique opportunity. SCO has also warned that after the given deadline, connections will be closed permanently of defaulters and according to land revenue act legal process will be enforced fro the recovery of outstanding bills.
SCO informed that earlier to thus special package, three months telephone bills of all earthquake affectees were waived off on account of special concession to the subscribers.
Free PCOs at enormous places all around earthquake affected areas, internet facilities and satellite telephone facilities were provided in addition to free PCOs and humanitarian assistance to entire public affected by the historic earthquake of October 8, last year.
Initially defaulters phones were closed temporarily on May 2, and under legal obligations these were to be closed permanently in September 2006 but SCO never closed the connections even after September 2006 as an ultra concession to earthquake affected areas.
SCO is affirmative that its valuable subscribers will take optimum advantage of the current announcement.
