Mahmood Ali was a great soldier of Pakistan Movement, says Ijaz

ISLAMABAD—Federal Minister for Religious Affairs Ijaz Ulhq has said that
late Mahmood Ali was a great soldier of Pakistan Movement and his
sacrifices for the cause of Pakistan are unmatched on many counts.
Speaking at a seminar, which was organized by the Pakistan Muslim
Leauge’s Cultural Wing under the title of “Mahmood Ali Reference”, here
Tuesday Ijaz ul Haq said that Mahmood Ali was a true patriot Pakistani
and his achievements with regard to the Two-nation theory and Pakistan
Movement are immense. He said that in the wake of the tragic event of
1971, when the country was broken into two, late Mahmood Ali left his
own native country and migrated to Pakistan. The Federal Minister said
that the new generation can learn a lot from the inspiring teachings of
Mahmood Ali.
Speaking at the occasion renowned lawyer S. M. Zafar said that
throughout his life Mahmood Ali showed unrivalled sentiments of love and
dedication for Pakistan and strived for the cause of Pakistan. He said
that Mahmood Ali was a sincere and principled man and his patriotism was
one of its own class.
S.M. Zafar said that Mahmood Ali entertained a unique theory, according
to which though the country was broken into two yet as a nation both
Pakistan and Bangladesh were as one. He said that Mahmood Ali was a true
patriot until his lost breath and his whole life a testimony to selfless
sacrifices.
Senator Nisar A. Memon also eulogized the sacrifices of late Mahmood Ali
and said that he fought for the cause of Pakistan and his numerous books
and writings are a testimony for the same. He said that Mahmood Ali’s
love for Pakistan is evident in the fact that he left his own motherland
and settled in Islamabad for the rest of his life.
President of Pakistan Muslim League’s Cultural Wing, Zafar Bakhtawari
also spoke on the occasion and said that men like Mahmood Ali are born
only once a while.
The spirit and dedications with which Mahmood Ali marched towards the
goal of a free and prosperous Pakistan cannot be found in the recent of
Pakistan.
Nosheen Saeed, Ghazanfar Mehdi, Junaid Chaudhry, S.M Qureshi, Seema
Mahmood Ali and others also spoke on the occasion. |
