Report on Stock Market scam to be presented today

ISLAMABAD—Report on the March 2005 Stock Market Crisis prepared by foreign experts will be presented before the National Assembly Standing Committee on Finance today (Tuesday).
Earlier the Ministry of Finance refused to present the report at which the standing committee registered strong protest. The report will be presented by the Ministry of Finance and Security and Exchange Commission of Pakistan.
The meeting to be presided by Anwar Ali Cheema Chairman Standing Committee. Prime Minister advisor on Finance and Chairman SECP will present the briefing on the report prepared by the foreign experts.
Many government ministers are said to be behind the crisis that saw investors losing billions. Opposition has charged Prime Minister Shaukat Aziz as well in the financial scam. In the report names of some of those involved will also be revealed.—Online
