Taliban kill Afghan cleric on spying suspicion

MIRANSHAH—Pro-Taliban militants have killed an Afghan cleric in North Wazirstan agency bordering Afghanistan for his involvement in spying for American troops.
Deputy Administrator Razmak while talking to a British News Agency said that Afghan cleric was killed in Razmak, 75 kilometers away from Miranshah.
Officials said the militants left a letter near his body, which said, “Anyone spying for Americans will face the same fate.
Suspected local Taliban killed an Afghan religious scholar in North Waziristan agency on Sunday morning, accusing him of being an agent of the United States.
The dead body of Maulana Mohammad Hashim was found in Razmak area near here. A note was also found near the body, which stated that he was killed for being an agent of the United States. Local residents said that the Maulana was shot in the head twice.
Suspected local Taliban have killed a number of clerics and tribal chieftains on the charge of being the spies of the United States.
