Call for
Waziristan-like peace deals in tibal area

PESHAWAR—All Parties Tribal Protection Conference while holing the
rulers responsible for massacre of innocent children in a seminary in
Bajaur agency have said the US has targeted the Madrissah as per firm
evidences but the government has taken its responsibility to cover up
its inefficiency.
This was said by the speakers in the conference held here Sunday. The
speakers were MMA president Qazi Hussain Ahmad, PML-N central leader
Zafar Iqbal Jhagra, PTI chairman, Imran Khan, MMA central leader Allama
Sajid Naqvi, senior journalist Rahim Ullah Yusuf Zai, Seraj ul Haq and
noted lawyer barrister Bacha. The speakers described Bajaur incident
condemnable. Taking the responsibility by government of Pakistan of this
air strike is more deplorable as the family members of martyrs witnessed
that US planes targeted the seminary.
Taking the responsibility of attack instead of condemning it is
tantamount to add insult to injuries, they announced. They held that the
Conference means Protection of Pakistan conference and it was need of
the hour to hold this conference as the fire erupting in Bajaur can
spill into Karachi. They told that pieces of US marked missiles were
found from the scene of attack. On the other hand a federal minister
claimed that Madrissah was located on a hill while it is situated
alongside the open road close to the office of political administration.
They called for constitution of an independent committee to take steps
to ensure peace and security in tribal areas. No suicide attack has ever
taken place in Bajaur. The situation will deteriorate when government is
taking such heinous steps, they warned.
The speakers maintained that the rulers indulged blood letting of its
people to please US what a stone hearted man can not do. US president
George W Bush is Pharaoh of today and is pursuing the policies of
Pharaoh, they added.
A grand Tribals Protection Conference, organized by MMA, through a joint
declaration Sunday called for withdrawal of forces from the tribal
areas, Waziristan-like peace deals in the entire tribal belt for the
restoration of peace and stability in the region. The joint declaration
was issued at the end of the moot, which was attended by representatives
of all opposition parties including Iqbal Zafar Jhagra, central leader
of PML(N), Qazi Hussain Ahmed president of MMA, Imran Khan chairman
Tehrik-e-Insaf, Afrasiyab Khattak central leader of ANP, Allama Sajid
Naqvi MMA leader, Senator Gul Naseeb, ex-MNA Haroon Rashid, former
senior minister Sirajul Haq besides a large number of tribal elders.
All the political parties on the occasion called for awarding exemplary
punishments to the elements that were responsible for the killings of
innocent people in FATA and the Dargai incident. They also called for
ousting General Musharraf from both the posts of army chief and
presidency and called for an independent election commission through a
caretaker government for conducting smooth and fair elections. Qazi
Hussain Ahmed on the occasion said, “We will not sit idle after
tendering resignations but to initiate political war against the rulers
of this country. |
