Health Ministry all set to organize Expo 2006

ISLAMABAD—Health Ministry has completed all the arrangements to organize the first International Health exhibition “Health Expo 2006” and it is expected that President Gen Pervez Musharraf will inaugurate the two day exhibition scheduled to be start on November 29 and 30 here at the Jinnah Convention Centre.
The exhibition is being organised by the Ministry of Health and aims at bringing together health experts and representatives of pharmaceutical sector. Leading national and international experts on various health issues are expected to attend the exhibition.
A number of foreign delegates will participate in the special technical sessions that will be held on the sidelines of the exhibitions to exchange ideas and expertise in various public health fields, clinical medicine and pharmaceuticals.
The ministry has invited health ministers of countries located in the Eastern Mediterranean Region of the World Health Organisation (WHO), stretching from Pakistan in South Asia to Morocco in North Africa besides ministers from South Asian Association for Regional Cooperation (SAARC) countries.
The Expo has been divided into four categories as national, foreign Pharma and surgical goods industries and medical equipments would be displayed in first category of Expo 2006.
The second category of exhibition would highlight the achievements and advances of medical education and medical services provided in the country while Informative books regarding modern ways of Tibb would be displayed.
The third category of exhibition has been reserved for the promotion of consumer goods relating to healthy happy living, falling in the category of healthy habits including food, supplements, cooking oils, milk and dairy products, clean drinking water, personal hygienic products and others.
The exhibition will also have various entertainment activities for people, including various types of food, puppet and magic shows for children, healthy baby contests, hot air balloon rides and health, beauty and fitness pavilions managed by renowned health clubs and beauticians in the last category of exhibition.
