Soomro stresses more housing projects for low income groups

ISLAMABAD—Chairman Senate Mohammedmian Soomro Sunday called for launching of more housing projects by public and private sectors to facilitate the low income groups in the country.
Addressing at the ground breaking ceremony of Al-Hamra Hills-Country Housing Scheme in Islamabad he stressed upon the potential investors to invest in the housing sector.
He said tremendous potentials exists in the housing sector as it not only generates economic activity but also provides job opportunities to the unemployed lot of the country.
Soomro said the government and the private sector should ensure cost effective and quality accommodation while launching any housing society so that the low income group could benefit.
Earlier, the Habib Ahmed of Al-Hamra Hills-Country Housing Scheme briefed the Chairman Senate about the lay-out plan of the project and highlighted salient features of the scheme. He said state-of-the-art facilities would be provided to the residents of the scheme.
Chairman Senate appreciated the lay-out plan of the project and lauded the role played the investors for investing in the development of the scheme. Former Federal Minister Mr. Anwar Saifullah Khan was also present on the occasion.
