PCB coaching course continues third day

KARACHI—The five-day Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) level-I coaching
course continued on the third day at National Stadium with several
lectures on the various aspects of modern coaching in sport were given.
The course is being held under National Cricket Academy Coach Education
Program, 2006.
Manager Coach Education Shahid Aslam, former Test paceman Jalaluddin and
former class cricketer Haris Khan are supervising the course which will
conclude on Friday.
PCB regional coaches and former Test opener Azam Khan international
Athar Laiq and Tahir Mahmood are assisting in the conduct of the course.
Former Pakistan captain Rashid Latif, founder of Rashid Latif Cricket
Academy also gave tips to participants on wicketkeeping during practical
session on Tuesday.
24 candidates from Karachi, Hyderabad and Hyderabad are attending the
course. These courses are specially designed for coaches who will
working at schools, clubs and grass root level in remote areas.
Lectures are being delivered on skill development, effective
communication, planning and preparation while practical sessions for
better technique will be conducted in all aspect of the game.
Those attending the course included Abdul Basit, Adil Wajahat, Adnan
Kaleem, Aijaz Shah, Amin Iqbal, Anis-ur Rehman, Atiq-ur Rehman,
Azizullah Khan, Baharat Kumar, Hanif Yousuf, Hussan Bukhsh Khosa,
Iftikhar Ahmed, Iftikhar Hussain, Khuda Bakhsh, Khurram Shahzad,
Mazharullah, Muhammad Iqbal, Rashid Ali Qureshi, Sajid Abbasi, Saleem
Haider, Sohail Qureshi, Tanveer Ali, Yahya Bloch and Zulfiqar Abbasi. |
