Kareena Kapoor to be choosy about new films

MUMBAI—Bollywood actress Kareena Kapoor says she will sign a new movie only if she is convinced by its script. Kapoor has signed only two films for the next year as she decided to be careful about new projects, Kapoor told the Mumbai Mirror newspaper.
“I’ve done enough films without conviction. And it shows in my performance,” she said. A popular actress, Kapoor got good reviews for her performance in “Omkara,” Bollywood’s version of Shakespeare’s “Othello.”
However, she said she would bend her rules to work opposite top Bollywood heroes such as Shah Rukh Khan. The lure of working with Khan prompted her cameo in “Don,” a remake of a Hindi-movie classic about a mafia boss, where she played a woman prepared to take on a gangster to avenge her brother’s death. She briefly wondered whether it was right to agree to do a small role, but “the temptation of doing a song with Shah Rukh got the better of me,” Kapoor said.—Agencies
