18 Punjab advisors sacked after HC ruling

LAHORE—Punjab government issued Tuesday a notification regarding the dismissal of 18 advisors. While, according to regulations, five advisors and four special assistants would keep working as usual.
The directives were issued to take back all official perks and privileges including cars. Chief Secretary Punjab Salman Siddique issued this notification which has the names of dismissed persons as Hafiz Tahir Ashrafi, Dr Javed Asghar, Dr Faiza Asghar, Mrs Sadia Shehzad, Chaudhry Mohammed Siddique, Rahat Quddusi, Akhtar Rasool, Mian Mohammed Muneer, Makhdoom Syed Iftikhar Gilani, Mansha Sandhu, Sardarullah Yar Haraj, Qaisar Amin Butt, Haji Mohammed Hanif, Shaukat Ali Lalika, Pir Mokhtar Ahmed, Raja Mohammed Nasir, Mian Abdus Sattar and Furrukh Shah, who have been dismissed.
However, Chairperson Social Services Board Mrs Saba Sadiq and Chairperson Task Force Punjab Dr Nighat Aagha would keep working on their designations; but the designation of advisor to Chief Minister Punjab has been taken back from them.
According to regulations, five advisors and four special assistants would continue functioning as usual.—Agencies
