Teachers’ grooming must for national prosperity: Anisa

ISLAMABAD—Minister of State for Education Anisa Zeb Tahirkheli said the government was committed to grooming teachers to meet modern challenges through quality education for national prosperity and development.
She was addressing as chief guest during an inaugural ceremony of six-week long training programme titled “ Educational Leadership and Institutional Management” being hosted by Academy of Educational Planning and Management, Ministry of Education here.
She said that the government was alive to the modern challenges in education sector and taking steps to equip teachers with training on modern lines to meet contemporary and future challenges for the country’s development.
She said that the government was investing more resources to provide quality education to the young segment of the country’s population and new syllabus which incorporated modern requirements and being drafted in consensus with four provinces would help chive the objective.
Speaking on the occasion, Director General of the Academy Dr. Pervaiz Shami called upon the teachers to learn new skills in the workshop, whole-heatedly and share their knowledge with their students to achieve bright future for the country.
