Education a base for nation building: Zubaida

RAWALPINDI—Federal Minister for Social Welfare and Special Education Zubaida Jalal Monday said education was a base for nation building and achieving a prosperous future for Pakistan.
She observed this while addressing a ceremony at Pakistan Cadets College Batrasi, as the chief guest on the fourth parents day of the college. Madam Zubaida Jalal felicitated the students and faculty members on their outstanding achievements and sheer hard work.
She in her address advised the students “devote all your energies in acquiring education which is essential for your and country’s prosperous future.
Develop the habits of personal and collective discipline which is the hallmark of all progressive nations”. She also appreciated the administration faculty members and scout cadets who very courageously faced the tragedy of 08 October 2005, when the devastating earthquake struck the area.
All the cadets along with faculty members successfully managed to evacuate the cadets out of the building and then all the cadets were sent to their respective destinations.
Later the chief guest distributed prizes among the position holders and gave them certificates. A large number of parents and other dignitaries attended the ceremony.
