Dengue fever toll hits 45

ISLAMABAD—Dengue fever has claimed forty lives so throughout the country while the number of suspected Dengue virus patients have risen to 4176 in different hospitals of the country.
According to a Health Ministry report issued here Sunday forty Dengue virus patients have died so far in which thirty-eight deaths occurred in Karachi while two others died in Peshawar.
The report further told that about 4176 patients have been admitted to different hospitals of the country while Dengue virus has been confirmed in about 1527 patients.
Meanwhile, the number of suspected patients in the twin-cities has reached 627 while Dengue virus has been confirmed in 226 patients so far. However, its effect is minimizing day by day because of cold weather in the country. —INP
