Mumtaz Bhutto quits as SQI chief

LARKANA—Chairman of Sindh Qami Itehad (SQI) Mumtaz Ali Bhutto, who is also Chief of Sindh National Front (SNF), resigned from chairmanship of SQI here on Sunday.
According to SNF central Deputy Secretary Information Ayoob Shar the decision was taken due to rowdiness on part of some coalition partners — the Nationalist leaders — and not meetings of SQI arranged here on 5th and 10th of this month.
He said the SQI under chairmanship of Mumtaz Ali Bhutto provided a latform to the people of Sindh on various issues to get united but “they (Nationalist leaders) were not cooperating.
To a quarry, Shar rejected any pressure or offer by the government for doing so and said Bhutto has decided to strengthen his own party SNF.
“Now the coalition party leaders must perform their role to develop Sindh Qaumi Itehad on their own efforts”, he concluded.—Online
