WP bill to be moved on 15th, says Sher Afgan

ISLAMABAD—Minister for parliamentary affairs, Dr Sher Afgan Niazi has said that women rights bill will be presented in National Assembly on Wednesday on Prime Minister return to home.
He said this while talking to journalists in parliament house Friday. He told this house had decided to set up select committee. Talks were held several times with the Ulema outside this house. These talks had no legal bearing, he informed. I used to say earlier that the bill approved by select committee will be passed in the national assembly. Now this has become clear that select committee bill be presented in the house for approval when Shaukat Aziz returns home after his foreign tour. About MMA resignations he said no such threat is ahead. MMA has committed negligence. It should have attended select committee meeting, he added.
He made it clear no change will be made at all in select committee bill. NA to pass Women Protection Bill by Friday next: Sher Afgan Minister for Parliamentary Affairs Dr Sher Afgan Niazi Friday hoped that Women Protection Bill will be passed by the National Assembly next Friday (November 17) after completion of its second reading. The second reading will be taken up on Wednesday or Thursday, he said while talking with the media persons at Parliament House. To a question, he hinted at the merger of his party Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) with Pakistan Muslim League (PML-Q) in the coming days. He further said that unlike the past, present Assemblies will complete their five-year term. To a question about defeat of Republican Party in United States mid-term election, he said “It will have no affect on Pak-US bilateral ties.”
