SC moved against Dr Qadeer confinement

ISLAMABAD—A petition has been filed in the Supreme Court against nuclear scientist Dr. Abdul Qadeer Khan’s house-arrest and barring his family members to see him.
Making the federal government, Ministry of Defense and Inter Service Intelligence (ISI) the parties, Chaudhary Masood Akhtar Advocate High Court, has filed this petition here on Friday. The petitioner said that Dr. Abdul Qadeer is father of Pakistan’s nuclear program which strengthened country’s defense against Indian aggressive attitude. The blames on Dr. Khan regarding nuclear proliferation were bundle of lies, the petitioner assumes the position. The petition alleges that Dr. Khan’s confinement was under US pressure and he was forcefully agreed to accept the accusations regarding proliferation, which he never did. It said further that the President of Libya Colonel Mumar Qazafi and government of Iran didn’t accept the allegations regarding transforming nuclear technology by Dr. Qadeer Khan.—Agencies
