Hungarian firms keen to invest in diversified

ISLAMABAD—Foreign Minister of Hungary, Ms. Kinga Goncz called on Minister for Petroleum and Natural Resources, Amanullah Khan Jadoon here on Wednesday and discussed with him matters pertaining to promoting bilateral cooperation in oil and gas sector.
Welcoming the Hungarian Foreign Minister, Amanullah Jadoon said there existed a lot of potential and opportunities for the Hungarian investment companies to participate in Pakistan’s oil and gas and mineral projects for the mutual advantage.
He said that the government was providing attractive incentives to the investors in setting up oil refineries, LNG projects nd exploration activities in an investor-friendly climate.
Jadoon said that MOL Petroleum Company of Hungary had already been working in the country for the last decade and appreciated its contribution for boosting the oil and gas industry of Pakistan.
He said that the government would welcome further investment by more Hungarian companies in the petroleum projects.
The Hungarian Foreign Minister thanked the government of Pakistan for according warm welcome and hospitality to her delegation.
She said that the Hungarian companies were keen to invest in Pakistani projects for promoting the bilateral cooperation in diversified fields including the oil and gas projects.
Ms. Kinga Goncz hoped that her visit to Pakistan would open new avenues of bilateral cooperation between the two countries.
She lauded the rapid economic growth and investor-friendly policies being pursued by Pakistan for attracting investment.
Minister of State, Mir Muhammad Naseer Mengal, Additional Secretary Petroleum Shaukat Hayat Durrani and senior officials of the Ministry of Petroleum and Foreign Office were also present during the meeting.
