Tamil Tigers kill 25 Sri Lankan sailors

JAFFNA—Sri Lankan separatist rebels clashed with government navy and air forces Thursday off the northern Jaffna peninsula, with rebels claiming they killed 25 sailors and captured four others. 34 Taliban dead in Afghan clashes
Five policemen also die in fighting


Kandahar—Clashes between insurgents and NATO-led and Afghan troops have left 34 Taliban and .three policemen dead in the latest violence in Afghanistan.
