Protection to foreign entrepreneurs, companies assured

ISLAMABAD—Interior Minister Aftab Ahmad Khan Sherpao has said Pakistan offers conducive environment for foreign investment adding full security is being provided to the foreign entrepreneurs and companies in the country.
He said this while talking to a delegation of oil and Gas Company of Hungry, MOL here Tuesday in ministry of interior. The delegation was led by company's executive vice president. Interior minister held that new era of development and prosperity has ushered in Pakistan. A record surge has been noticed in foreign exchange reserve.
Country has carved a unique niche in the comity of nations under the courageous leadership of the President General Pervez Musharraf and the Prime Minister Shaukat Aziz. " We are playing our key role to protect the world against the scourge of terrorism", he added. He indicated that government had allocated Rs 435 billion in its development budget for poverty alleviation besides transforming Pakistan into a strong and stable country. This is matchless, he added. He went on to say that several projects were going to be completed in time due to better planning and diligence on our part. This will help address old outstanding problems of people, he added.
The delegation lauded the economic polices being pursued by Pakistan. They thanked government of Pakistan and interior ministry to ensure protection of foreign installations and held out assurance for further investment in Pakistan. .
