Industrial sector needs cooperation from public, private sectors

ISLAMABAD—Federal minister for defence production Habibullah Warraich has told that fast growing auto mobile, oil, gas and textile industry needs the cooperation of public sector and this is the high time to fill the space between the public and private sector industry.
He expressed these views while addressing the inaugural session of two-day seminar on “private and public sector partnership” as a chief guest at Pakistan Ordnance Factory in Wah Cantt here Tuesday.
He said that we have to take positive steps to minimize the gap between the public and private sector and the industry in the country needs a platform for this purpose.
Pakistan Ordnance Factory is the largest production industry and enjoys the status of industrial complex for its broad sources and products and it is example for the other industries.
These are the utmost efforts of the government to give the equal chance to the local and international investors for investing in industrial sector of Pakistan, he added.
He appreciated the members of defence ministry, board of investment, media and chamber of commerce to participate in seminar and said that such meetings provide opportunities open new vistas of cooperation.
While addressing the seminar chairman Pakistan Ordnance Factory Lt. General Syed Sabahat Hussain said that the purpose of this seminar is to introduce the POF and its variety of productions among the audience and to fill the gap between private and public sectors industries.
