Prosperity to be achieved through education: Secretary

ISLAMABAD—Federal Secretary Education Jehangir Bashar Monday said the government was committed to promoting quality education to achieve progress and prosperity.
He was addressing investiture ceremony of the students’ council at Federal Government College for Women in F-7/2 here. He said that the government was investing more resources and energies to equip the students with quality education in line with modern requirements to achieve prosperity.
The secretary felicitated the newly elected students of the council and lauded their efforts for performing duties efficiently and administered oath to them to fulfil responsibilities honestly.
He also appreciated the role of the institution in promoting standard education, adding “contributions of the college deserve to be praised and encouraged”.
Earlier, Principal Dr. Tayyaba said the college had earned a prestigious name by completing imparting quality education with laudable services of qualified teachers. About students’ council, the principal said it acted as a medium to bridge gap between students and administration.—APP
