BLA activist held in Quetta

QUETTA—Police Monday here foiling a terrorism bid apprehended an activist of defunct Balochistan Liberation Army (BLA) and recovered sensitive documents and automatic weapons from his possession.
Police raiding squad led by SP Wazir Khan Nasir conducted raid at a house in Bolan Medical College Colony, here and arrested Bukhat Ali Bugti. The Police also recovered 5 Kalashnikovs, 2 hand bombs, 3 time bombs, 3 batteries, one detonator, gunpowder in huge quantity, 2 vehicles and some sensitive documents beside maps of the provincial capital from his possession.
SP Police Khan confirmed the reports, said police arrested a militant from Barori road area and seized weapons, 2 vehicles and sensitive documents from his possession.
“He was planning a big terrorist activity” Khan said adding the accused has also revealed his involvement in many terrorist activities. Khan said investigations were underway and more revelations were expected.
Terming the arrest a great achievement, he said it will greatly help to round up the culprits involved in rocket attacks and bomb blasts in the city.
