John, Bipasha
to sizzle in ‘Goal’
BOMBAY—Hot
pair John Abraham and Bipasha Basu made news lately for split up but
there is good news for them and their fans. It is believed that the pair
will work together in Vivek Agnihotri’s next film ‘Goal’. The young
director made sparkling presence in the tinsel town with his debut
venture ‘Chocolate’ (Anil Kapoor, Suniel Shetty, Irfan Khan, Emraan
Hashmi and Tanushree Dutta) this year. John and Bips have mixed fortunes
of working together with splendid success of ‘Jism’ and disastrous
failures of ‘Madhoshi’ and ‘Aitbaar’.
John has already signed ‘Goal’ but Bips is still to decide. However, the
pair is likely to sizzle in ‘Goal’, according to reliable sources.
Earlier, Bipasha was offered role opposite to John in Anurag Kashyap’s
‘No Smoking’ but she declined the offer. In the meanwhile, John will be
looking forward to his forthcoming releases ‘Kabul Express’, ‘Babul’ and
‘Salaam-e-Ishq’ in coming months. John has also signed Deepa Mehta’s
next ‘The Exclusion’ opposite Amisha Patel and Seema Biswas. The film
will be bilingual (Hindi and English), and is a social drama based on
real life incident that took place in 1914 where Indians were denied
entry into Canada. This is to recall that John made an enormous
contribution as an actor in Deepa Mehta’s highly acclaimed ‘Water’ which
has already got an entry into Oscars as a Canadian movie.—Agencies
