Over 200 Afghan suspects held in Balochistan

QUETTA—Law enforcement agencies Sunday apprehended over 200 Afghan nationals from various parts of the province on suspicion of their involvement in bomb blast in front of IGP’s office.
Police also seized dozens of motorcycles and vehicles during from their possession during the raids. Official sources said personnel of security forces took over 200 Afghanis under custody in different raids in Noshki, Turbat, Nokandi, provincial capital and other areas and included them into investigation regarding blast in front of IGP Chauday Yaqoob’s office this week.
They said the 200 have been shifted to unidentified places and different investigation teams have been configured to interrogate them. Rapid investigations were underway and culprits of Quetta blasts would soon be nabbed.
Meanwhile, police contingent has condoned off entrances and exits to the provincial capital to have keen observation on suspected persons. It is pertinent to mention here that police has already arrested scores of Afghan refugees after finding clue of their involvement in the blast.—INP
