CDA serves notices on illegal occupants of MNA hostel
ISLAMABAD—The Capital Development Authority CDA has issued notices to
135 illegal occupants of rooms in the MNA Hostel asking them to vacate
their rooms within two weeks.
The notices say that if the illegal occupants fail to comply then legal
action would be taken against them by the Magistrate Enforcement.
According to sources in CDA, the Sub-committee of the standing committee
on Housing and Library of the National Assembly had directed the CDA to
serve two-week notices on the illegal occupants of the hostel. Some of
the occupants were high officials of the Ministry of Interior, NAB and
other important government departments who were living there for years.
Legally an occupant can hire a room for one month at a rate of Rs 200
per day. Some of the occupants has outstanding dues against them.
An key official of the CDA department for Parliament Lodges and Hostel
has confirmed to this scribe that notices have been served on the
occupants of the MNA Hostel in Islamabad . He said if they fail to
comply with the orders, then action would be taken against them through
