GG camp aimed to prepare girls to deal with emergencies: Tahira

ISLAMABAD—National Secretary of Pakistan Girls Guide Association. Ms. Tahira Ahmed has said the focus of the Girls Guide camp in Islamabad is to prepare girls to deal with emergencies and disasters.
The aim of camp is to engage and empower girls and young women so that they can make a difference in their communities.
Talking to this scribe, she said the Pakistan Girl guides association responded immediately to the national disaster and started relief work for the earthquake affected people in Azad Jammu and Kashmir. Ms. Tahira Ahmed said during the next three days of camping, girl guides will be taught about the international aspects of girl guides besides engaging them in other activities.
More than 650 hundred girls from all the four provinces, the federal capital, Northern Areas and Azad Kashmir are attending the week long camp.—Agencies
