Amrita Arora makes passage to Prague

BOMBAY—Amrita Arora has just returned from Prague. She was there for Yana Gupta’s show. “I stayed back for two days to see the city. Since Yana was born and raised in Prague, she was the one who showed me around the place,” she adds. Amrita says that Prague is known as a holy city. “Old people want to visit the city because it has many old churches. Prague is a religious place. The famous tourist must-see at Prague is the Charles Bridge and there’s a Jesus Christ statue over it that is fascinating,” says the actress.
She further adds that the Jesus Christ statue there has strong energy vibrations and if you touch it and ask for any three things, they come true. “Dalai Lama had come here too. It is said that even he felt the vibrations and all that he asked for he got,” Amrita says.
So what did she ask for? “That I am not saying till it comes true. But the place leaves you calm and peaceful,” she says. Amrita even tried the traditional food that Prague is known for. “They make something called ‘Goulash’ that is a pot-pourri of all the leftovers. Basically, it is made of vegetables and mutton. They also add brown rice to it. It is to be eaten with bread just like pao-bhaji. The ‘Gulash’ that I had was freshly made,” she says.—Agencies
