ICC plucks out Hair from umpiring

Mumbai—The International Cricket Council on Friday decided to ban controversial Australian umpire Darrell Hair from international cricket for his conduct during a test between Pakistan and England that led to the first forfeit in test cricket’s 129-year history, an ICC official said.
The decision was taken at the ICC executive board’s two-day meeting that began in Mumbai, India’s financial and entertainment capital, on Friday following a complaint by the Pakistan Cricket Board, the official said on condition of anonymity as he was not authorized to talk to reporters.—Agencies
