Country-wide protests against attack on seminary

PESHAWAR—Ten of Thousand of tribesmen led protest demonstration throughout the NWFP including in Bajaur following against the air strike on Madrassa in which about 80 persons were killed last day.
Thousands of tribals staged protest demonstration at Siddqabad Pathak in the Headquarter Khar of Bajaur Agency. They termed the incident inhuman and massacre of incident tribesmen. They also strongly condemned the alleged involvement of US in the incident.
During the protest demonstration the entire Bajaur Agency was blocked and suspect persons were prevented to enter into the Agency. Meanwhile a delegation led by Secretary General Jamiat-e-Ulema-e-Islam (F) Moulana Shuja-ul-Malik was also intercepted at Yakka Ghund and restricted to enter into Bajaur Agency.
Students of Yukka Ghund Degree College and Mono Techniques College staged protest demonstration and block the Pubbi and Shobbra road against air raid on Madrassa. Earlier, Qazi Hussain Ahmad while speaking in a public gathering in Nowshera denied ISPR Director General Statement that operation were at Pakistan Army’s disposal rather than US.
“ We pay tribute to those who embrace Shahadat in the incident but we would not accept American betrayal at any cost”, he said. During the demonstration while chatting slogans of “Bush go down”, “America go down” the protestors pledged to continue Jihad and take revenge of the Shudah’s blood. Meanwhile, several kinds of protest demonstration were also led out throughout the NWFP.
Moulana Ruh-ul-Amin while speaking in a rally said that now the anti-Islam forces are united to obliterate Islam. Faqir Muhammad who is suspected on having links with Al-Qaeda and is wanted by government also led a rally and set ablaze national flag of US. Roads were blocked at several points. However, heavy contingent of police were deputed in order to avoid any untoward incident.
There were also reports of Protests demonstration in Dir Pine, Dir Bala, Changla and District Sawat including Mangora where a great mammoth was taken out. Moulana Faqir Muhammad said that the peace agreement will continue in the region and the Jirga formulated for this very cause will also continue to exist. Provincial Minister Hussain Ahmad Kanju, Provincial Minister of Agriculture Qari Mehmood, MNA Moulana Fazal Subhan also addressed the gathering.
During their address they expressed grief over the incident in a country, which was created on the name of Islam. They also demanded government to tender resignation as it has failed to protect its own people.They also demanded government to compensate the relatives of the deceased.
President Muttahida Majlis-i-Amal (MMA) QaziHussain Ahmed has said that attacking religious seminary in Bajour, which killed 83 innocent students, the US has declared war against Pakistan. He condemned the air strike and termed it worst instance of terrorism and brutality.
