Brenneman eyes return to series TV

LOS ANGELES—Amy Brenneman is looking to return to series television.
The "Judging Amy" star has inked a talent holding deal with ABC and Touchstone TV to star in a project for the Disney-owned network and the studio targeted for next fall. The pact reunites Brenneman with ABC after her stint on "NYPD Blue" in the network's cop drama's first season.
Brenneman starred as Judge Amy Gray on the CBS drama "Judging Amy," which ran from 1999-2005. She earned three consecutive Emmy nominations for her work on the show.
Onstage, Brenneman appeared in the Williamstown Theater Festival's staging of the John Belluso play "A Nervous Smile" this summer. She will appear opposite Al Pacino next year in the Jon Avnet drama "88 Minutes."—Agencies
