'An atmosphere of tolerance introduced during Musharraf rule'

ISLAMABAD—Minister for Information and Broadcasting Muhammad Ali Durrani Monday said the stability of economy and an atmosphere of tolerant politics has been introduced during the government of President Pervez Musharraf.
“It was very different and excellent period, adding during which many cultural changes were witnessed” Durrani told a private TV channel.
The Minister said method and temperament of the country’s politics has also changed. Institutions and economy was stabilized, culture of tolerance has been introduced in the politics, he added.
To a question, he said next general elections in the country would be held in free and fair manners.
To another question, he denied that the government was making any deal; adding and government did not need any deal at this point.
He continued that present government is performing in a best way in the history of the country with its allies.
He said in next elections, political base of PML would be increased.—Agencies
