Imran criticizes govt for not reducing oil
prices
ISLAMABAD—Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan has
strongly criticised the government decision of not reducing oil prices
despite 25 percent decline in international oil markets.
In a press statement issued here on Monday, the PTI Chairman said that
on one hand, corrupt leaders of the country claimed that they were
reducing the prices of all essential commodities and on the other hand,
they were not determined to give the basic right especially the oil
prices reduction to people.
He said that in the past three months oil prices reduced dramatically in
international markets but here in Pakistan situation was opposite.
"Despite the decline of oil prices in international markets government
has still maintained the same prices of oil which was clearly injustice
for whole nation" he maintained.
He strongly demanded that the government should formulate new policy of
determining oil prices and must terminate Oil Company Advisory
committee.
"Government should reduce the oil prices 50% so that common men would
get relief to it" he advised.—Agencies |
