Country made remarkable progress during
PML’s tenure: PM
ISLAMABAD—Prime Minister Shaukat Aziz Monday said PML and its allied
parties will do better in the next general elections on the basis of
their track record of last five years during which the country saw
incomparable political stability and economic development.
Talking to former Senator and Minister of State for Interior and PML
leader from Gujar Khan, Dr. Shahzad Waseem, who called on him at the PM
House, the Prime Minster said Muslim League is the party which created
Pakistan sixty years ago and it is the responsibility of its members and
leaders to take the country forward.
Dr. Shahzad Waseem apprised the Prime Minister of the implementation of
the ongoing development projects and also about various matters
pertaining to his constituency. The Prime Minister said that natural gas
would be provided to Gujar Khan on priority basis.
Later, while talking to Basit Ahmad Bukhari, PML MNA from Muzaffargarh
the Prime Minister said that no one will be allowed to hamper the
process of development being undertaken by the government of PML and its
allied parties in the country.
The Prime Minister said that the government is fully committed to the
welfare of masses and will not be distracted from carrying out
development work in the country.
The Prime Minister said that the PML government and its allied parties
have initiated development projects worth billions of rupees all over
the country and is taking steps to improve the standard of living of
people in all parts of the country.
He said the benefits of high economic growth have started reaching the
masses which is the key priority of the government.
Bukhari said that Prime Minister’s vision for Balochistan, unveiled
during his visit to Quetta will go a long way in bringing the province
at par with other parts of the country.
He said the development package of over Rs.19 billion and 32,000
additional jobs allocated for the people of Balochistan are major steps
in the right direction. He also briefed the Prime Minister about the
status of ongoing development schemes in his constituency. —Agencies |
