Dr. A Q Khan shifted to Islamabad

ISLAMABAD: The prominent scientist and founder of the country?s nuclear power, Dr. Abdul Qadeer Khan was shifted from Karachi to Islamabad on Sunday after undergoing successful prostrate cancer operation.
It may be recalled that prostrate cancer was detected in Dr Khan on August 22 and a board comprising civil and military experts was constituted that decided that Dr. Khan would be operated upon in the Agha Khan Hospital (AKH) Karachi. He was shifted to AKH in first week of September and a team of doctors headed by Dr. Farhat Abbas Shah conducted his operation on September 9, which they declared as successful. He was shifted to his sister?s house after undergoing treatment for few days in a private wing of the hospital.
