India urged to abandon 'catch and kill policy'

ISLAMABAD—India should immediately renounce the killing and prosecuting of innocent Kashmiris on flimsy grounds as it is igniting the indigenous freedom movement, Convener APHC Syed Yousaf Naseem said Saturday.
Talking to PTV he said peace in the region cannot be achieved without resolving the core Kashmir issue.800,000 occupation forces have made the whole of IHK a torture cell and its population hostage.
More than 100,000 killings in IHK have deepened the rivalry thus increasing the commitment of locals for getting freedom. It is very difficult to crush popular movements through use of force.
Innocents like Afzal Guru should not be executed under thecontroversial laws like POTA.
Saner elements in India are also opposing such discriminatory laws and want to resolve the issue of Kashmir in accordance with aspirations of Kashmiris, he added. —Agencies
