HC accuses Yousaf Raza Gillani of tempering, refuses British visa

ISLAMABAD—Yousaf Raza Gillani, Former Speaker National Assembly and Vice Chairman Peoples Party was refused visa by the British High Commission and was accused of passport tempering on Saturday.
Reliable sources at the British High Commission told Online Yousaf Raza Gillani applied for visa on the official blue passport and submitted his passport via a private courier company FedEx that bore the designation of 'speaker national assembly'. This passport was issued to him during his capacity as Speaker National Assembly during the Benazir Bhutto's period of premiership. Yusuf Raza Gillani himself wrote the words "Former" in front of the designation of Speaker National Assembly.
Terming it tempering the British High Commission has refused the former speaker visa. Keeping his capacity in view the case has so far not being forwarded to FIA.
When the Former Speaker was contacted for his reaction to the High Commission's accusation, he maintained that the British High Commission has not intimated of any tempering accusation rather a visa has been sent to him along with it (passport).
The sources at the British High Commission said that a visa has not been issued to Yousaf Raza Gillani so far.
