Indian Army guilty for forced labour in IOK

ISLAMABAD—The Indian Army deployed in the Indian Occupied Kashmir (IOK) is reportedly found involved in the illegal practice of forced labour, victimizing the innocent and helpless Kashmiri people.
This highly deplorable act is an open example of human rights violation which is being condemned the world over. Reliable sources have revealed that the troops of Indian Army are forcing inhabitants of the remote villages in Baramula District to cut trees for them from nearby forests. This activity is extensively being done in the villages of Chatoosa, Dooniwasi and Pazalpura. Villagers are forcefully hurled to army camps in the morning and then taken to the forests where they cut trees and haul them to the camps. It is reported that nearby 70 per cent of people engaged in this activity are forced labourers, who are not being paid their wages by Indian Army.—Agencies
