Chinese Air Force chief arrives today

ISLAMABAD—General Qiao Qingchen, Commander People's Liberation Army (Chinese Air Force), along with a delegation, will be arrived here on 13th of October (today) on 5-day official visit to Pakistan on the invitation of Pakistan Air Force.
During his stay from 13th to 17th of October, he will call on President of Pakistan, the Defense Minister, the Chairman Joint Chiefs of Staff Committee and the Chief of the Air Staff.
General Qiao Qingchen joined the PLA Air Force in July 1956. After graduation in 1962, he was assigned to air division as a pilot.
During his tenure of service he has served at key appointments of PLAAF.
General Qiao Qingchen is a Special-Class Pilot with wide flying experience on various aircraft on the inventory of China.
He assumed the command of PLA Air Force in May 2002. He is also a member of Central Military Committee (CMC) since 2004.
