Attique lauds Govt policies on Kashmir issue

ISLAMABAD—AJK Prime Minister Sardar Attique Ahmad Khan has commended the commitment of President General Pervez Musharraf and Prime Minister Shaukat Aziz with Kashmiri people.
Talking to a PTV Programme "News Morning", AJK Prime Minister said that both President and Prime Minister are taking great interest in the reconstruction and rehabilitation efforts in Azad Kashmir.
Sardar Attique Ahmad Khan said that the Prime Minister has announced to award University status to Engineering College Mirpur and special seats are being reserved in the medical colleges of Pakistan.
AJK PM said that Prime Minister Shaukat Aziz has formed a committee comprised of Minister for Kashmir Affairs, Minister for Railway, AJK Prime Minister and Chief Secretary Azad Kashmir to resolve the problems of Kashmiri refugees in Pakistan. A cell in the office of AJK Prime Minister is also being setup to solve problems of overseas Kashmiri, he added.
Terming the induction of bus service a first step by Indian Prime Minister in improving relations between Pakistan and India, AJK Prime Minister has demanded more steps like that.
AJK Prime Minister said that the budget of AJK Council spend on the development projects in Azad Kashmir as well as for the welfare of refugees in Azad Kashmir and in Pakistan.
