PML, coalition partners playing role in political stability: PM

ISLAMABAD—Prime Minister Shaukat Aziz Wednesday said Pakistan Muslim League (PML) and its coalition parties are playing an important role in maintaining political stability and economic development in the country.
He made this observation at a meeting held at PM's House which was attended by the PML President Chaudhry Shujaat Hussain, PML Secretary General Senator Mushahid Hussain Syed, Minister for Information and Broadcasting Muhammad Ali Durrani, Minister for Ports and Shipping Babar Khan Ghouri, Special Assistance to the Prime Minister Commander (retd) Khalil-ur-Rehman and Farooq Sattar MNA.
The meeting reviewed the general political situation in the country and the performance of coalition with a view to further strengthening the political institutions in the country.
The Prime Minister said the ongoing process of economic development will be further expedited to bring about further improvement in the living standard of people.
The meeting also discussed the future political strategy and vowed to further strengthen political coordination among the coalition partners.—Agencies
