Ferrer, Rochus win at Stockholm Open

STOCKHOLM—Fourth-seeded David Ferrer of Spain defeated Andreas Seppi of Italy 6-1, 6-4 Monday in the first round of the Stockholm Open.
Sixth-seeded Olivier Rochus of Belgium and Paradorn Srichaphan of Thailand also advanced. Rochus topped American Vincent Spadea 6-3, 6-4, while Paradorn downed American Mardy Fish 7-6 (5), 3-6, 6-1.
Robin Soderling cruised to a 6-1, 6-2 win over fellow Belgian Christophe Rochus, and Frank Dancevic of Canada advanced to the second round by beating Guillermo Garcia-Lopez of Spain 6-4, 6-1.—Agencies
