Culture of favoritism rooted out: Chairman NHA

ISLAMABAD—The culture of nepotism and favoritism has beenrooted out from National Highway Authority NHA and everything was being doneon merit, said Chairman NHA, Major General Farrukh Javed said Monday.
Addressing a group of officers at NHA headquarters he said that recruitment process for 106 different posts in the NHA had beencompleted.
He said the selected candidates would soon be adjusted in various development projects. Farrukh Javed said the people were selected on merit and hoped they would work hard while discharging their assignments.
He commended the services of NHA staff working in hard and remote areas of the country including Balochistan and said they were sacrificing for the betterment of their country men.
The chairman announced special Eid Package for low grade employees.
He also informed the audience that the executive board had granted its approval for special Balochistan Package for employees of grade 17 and above and said NHA was trying to include employees of grade 1 to 16 in the package as well.
The chairman said scholarships would be provided to outstanding students whose parents in NHA could not afford their education.
