NVM targets to provide all basic facilities to two adopted villages

ISLAMABAD: Director General National Volunteer Movement (NVM) Khalid Masood Chaudhry Sunday said NVM target was to provide all basic facilities to two adopted villages.
Speaking in a PTV programme, he said aim of the setting up of volunteer Movement was to motivate people during rescue and relief operation soon after the tragedy.
He added that volunteers have mobilized people to participate in the rescue and relief operation, adding, they have also played role to take necessary food items to for flung areas.
He said NVM is imparting training in NWFP and AJK to volunteers, adding, after the completion of training they would be assigned to train local people.
He added that volunteers would extend all kind of support in providing basic health facilities to local people and running schools in the affected areas.
To a question, DG NVM said volunteers have also planted about 15,000 to 20,000 trees in the earth quake affected areas.
