President speaks to his teacher on Salam Teachers' Day

ISLAMABAD—President General Pervez MusharrafThursday telephoned his school teacher to pay his respect to him on the occasion of 'Salam Teacher Day'. Talking to Mr.Simon Dileema in Karachi, who taught him mathematics in school, the President inquired after his health and that of his family.
President Musharraf said the Day was being observed to acknowledge the vital and important role of teachers in the society.
The President said it was an honour for him to be talking to his school teacher on the 'Salam Teachers' Day'. He expressed best wishes for his health and long life.
