Women support programme Jafakash Aurat in offing: MNA

ISLAMABAD—A sizable amount has been allocated for imparting training and providing financial support programme namely 'Jafakash Aurat' targeting especially rural women aiming to make them self-sufficient.
MNA Ms Mehnaz Rafi Wednesday told PTV that a training and support programme has been made for women of Gwadar to enable them to meet their expenses by utilising their proficiencies.
An other skill development programme was continuing targeting women in the industries of Sialkot city, she said. It has also been decided to set up women centres at district level for providing every kind of support to distressed women. In the National Assembly there were 12 women working as chairpersons of various bodies.
There is a dearth of schools and health centres for women all over the country and government was making allout efforts to provide more facilities to womenfolk in the country. The discriminatory laws against the women folk would be eliminated gradually.In the next session of NA amendments would be suggested against certain laws discriminatory to women, she added.
