continues volley of allegations
KABUL—Afghan Foreign Minister Dr. Rangin Dadfar Spanta has strongly
criticized President General Pervez Musharraf remarks about Hamid Karzai
and Afghanistan and termed Musharraf as an inexperienced politician.
He stated this reaction over President Musharraf's remarks that
President Hamid Karzai did not know about his country's situation.
Earlier, during his stay in the US, President Musharraf criticized
Afghan President and said in undiplomatic language that Karzai was not
playing his role in war against terrorism. Karzai did not know any thing
about current situation, he said.
Dr Spanta while rejected the President's remarks said that Pakistan was
too young as historically.
Former Afghan Foreign Minister Dr. Abdullah Abdullah said that President
Musharraf's remarks proved that he could interfere in the internal
affairs of Afghanistan and wanted to defend his rule in Pakistan.
He pointed out that Pakistan where terrorist centers are located could
play an important role in war against terrorism. He said that President
Musharraf in his book has admitted that Pakistan took part in war
against terrorism under pressure of the US and western countries.
Dr. Abdullah suggested that Afghanistan should give response to
President Musharraf's remarks.
He further said that Pakistan has been openly interfering in the
internal affairs of Afghanistan since the formation of President
Karzai's government. He said that Pakistan's efforts were continuing to
strengthen Taliban against the government. Dr. Spanta urged the world
community to pressurize the Pakistan to take serious steps in war on
