Social coordinators to be appointed at quake-hit areas
By Ali Imran

ISLAMABAD—Social coordinators would be appointed in earthquake affected areas of Azad Kashmir and NWFP in a bid to provide survivors solace and completely eradicating their complaints.
Deputy Chairman Earthquake Rehabilitation and Reconstruction Authority (ERRA) Lt Gen Nadeem told Geo TV that the coordinators to be appointed at tehsil and union council level would be responsible for ensuring provision of relief to all survivors of the deadly earthquake of 2005.
The coordinators would ensure delivery of relief to each and every survivor. They have also been authorised to hold inquiry against unscrupulous elements trying to devour the relief, he said.
A survey would also be conducted in the affected areas aiming to nab those not utilising the relief properly. The survey would also pinpoint those who have yet to receive any aid, he added.
